A speech therapy referral is a formal request made by concerned individuals, parents, caregivers, educators, or healthcare professionals to initiate an assessment and treatment for speech and language difficulties. Referrals are crucial in identifying individuals who may benefit from speech therapy, as they act as the gateway to accessing the necessary support and intervention.
Referrals can be sent to info@aswespeech.com or call our office and speak with our intake coordinator.

Do parents attend the sessions?
We encourage parents to sit in on their child’s session. Parents are their child's first and most influential teachers. By actively participating in therapy sessions, parents gain knowledge about different strategies and techniques to facilitate their child's communication skills. They learn how to reinforce speech and language goals within the natural contexts of their everyday routines. This collaboration enables parents to extend the therapy goals beyond the therapy room, providing more frequent and consistent support.

What is your attendance cancellation policy?
In order to maintain the quality of our services, we have implemented a policy regarding missed visits without 24-hour notice.
We understand that life can sometimes bring unexpected circumstances, and we are committed to working with you to ensure your continued progress and success in therapy. However, consistent attendance is crucial for achieving optimal outcomes. Therefore, after three consecutive missed visits without 24-hour notice, we will need to consider discharging you from our services.
